Turn canvas frames into a presentation
A presentation is a sequence of framed canvas regions. You can keep the wider discussion on the board while selecting a clear route through its conclusions. Create frames, organise them into a deck, add notes and hide supporting frames that should not appear in the delivery. The Present panel shows decks and frame visibility for the current canvas, so start from the board that contains your material.
Canvas → Frame tools → Present → Presentation options → Edit PresentationWhat you’ll learn
- Frame the regions that explain your story in the right order.
- Create a deck from selected frames and arrange its sequence.
- Add frame notes and manage hidden supporting frames.

01
Frame the story
Open Frame tools and choose a consistent ratio such as 16:9 for the main presentation regions. Position each frame around one topic: context, options or recommendation. Free draw Frame lets you capture a differently shaped area when necessary. Keep text and diagrams inside the intended boundary, and leave enough visual space that the region still reads clearly when it fills the screen.
02
Collect the frames into a deck
Select only the frame objects you want to include. The selection toolbar shows MP; click it to create a presentation from those frames. Open Present on the right rail and find the resulting Presentation entry. The list also shows the default collection of frames. Check the deck’s frame count so you can distinguish your chosen sequence from all the material on the board.
03
Name and order the sections
Open a frame’s Frame options menu in Present and choose Rename. Use a title that communicates its point, such as “Recommended next step”, then confirm the edit. Drag frame rows to arrange the order within the deck. Check the first and final frame deliberately: the beginning should establish context, and the ending should make the requested decision or action clear.
04
Prepare frame notes
Open Presentation options on the deck and choose Edit Presentation. Select a frame in the Frames pane and write its prompts in Frame Notes, using Type to add frame notes as the empty-field cue. Switch to another frame and back to check the note remains attached to the correct frame. Add Frame is available here when the sequence needs another region.
05
Check the visible sequence
Use Hide in Presentation from a frame’s options when it is useful background material but should be skipped during delivery. Use Show in Presentation to include it again. The Present summary distinguishes visible frames from the total. Choose Present from the editing pane or the deck’s present control, review the sequence, and return with Stop presentation when the check is complete.
You have a deliberate presentation route through the canvas, with named sections, useful notes and the intended visible frames. The wider board still provides the supporting context for follow-up work.
